The light-hearted and feel-good crime/mystery podcast, The Walker Mysteries is to return for a second series.
Currently part way through its first series, the podcast created by Andrew White, goes on a heart-warming journey through the comedic crime-solving world of Charlotte Walker, a quirky yet sassy Yorkshire detective with a knack for solving crimes, but always with a dollop of humour and often involving her loyal Border Collie, Bronte.
Each episode, presented in a monologue format with drama-based flashback scenes, follows Charlotte as she narrates her latest adventures. She shares her unique perspective on the world around her, providing a refreshing twist to the traditional detective genre.
The second series sees the introduction of a new work partner for Charlotte, in the form of DC Ayesha Stoker – and the start of the sapphic element of the series.
Sally Swift, who returns as DCI Charlotte Walker, says: “I absolutely love playing Charlotte, so I’m thrilled to continue bringing her to life and to explore new adventures in the second season of The Walker Mysteries.
“I’ve already been recording some of the episodes, and I can say listeners are in for a wild ride filled with laughter, intrigue and maybe even a touch of romance!”

Best known for presenting and producing the TV and podcast series Walks Around Britain, Andrew White is also the showrunner and writer behind The Walker Mysteries, he commented: “Charlotte is a wonderful character to write – I only wish I was as clever and sassy as she is!
“In Season Two, we’ll delve into the growing friendship between Charlotte and Ayesha, both in and out of work. This new dynamic adds another layer of spice to the stories.”
Season Two of The Walker Mysteries is set to launch on 1 September, with new episodes every week. The first season continues, with new episodes available on all major platforms every Friday at 7pm.
