The groundbreaking audio drama, BOOM returns for season two on Monday 10 July.
Produced by Stak and written and directed by the makers of The Offensive and Jackie the Ripper, BOOM is set at the turn of the millennium in the headquarters of Enron, an American energy, commodities and services company.
The second season continues Jim’s story from the first season, where he now goes even further down the rabbit hole.
The millennium is barely an hour old and Jim finds himself hiding in a Las Vegas Casino as federal investigators storm the building. He’s accepted his fate that his new paymasters have scripted, but is his paranoia beginning to catch up with him?
As the USA prepares to welcome George W. Bush to the Whitehouse, Jim Yang navigates the chaotic world of Enron, all the while communicating with the mysterious Morris Capital via emails from the future. His personal life is in tatters, unable to explain to the love of his life Cora just why he is unable to commit to a meaningful relationship.
And when he discovers he is not the only ‘Chosen One’, the revelations have a devastating effect.
It’s a timeless, mystifying story of greed and the human condition but is filled with nostalgia, music, movies and trends from the late 90s to the early noughties.
The returning cast for season two includes star of the smash hit It’s a Sin and A Little Life, Omari Douglas, voice actor Akie Kotabe, comedian and actor Mike Capozzola, and Meg Cavanaugh, who was nominated for a OneVoice Award for her standout performance in season one.
BOOM season two will be available to listen to weekly every Monday from 10 July on all available podcast platforms.
