The Official Big Bang Theory Podcast has launched

The Official Big Bang Theory Podcast dedicated to the iconic TV sitcom, has been launched by Max in collaboration with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television.

Hosted and executive produced by Jessica Radloff, New York Times best-selling author of The Big Bang Theory: The Definitive, Inside Story of the Epic Hit Series, the podcast will analyse and explore every episode starting with seasons one and two with the cast and crew who were instrumental in the creation of the series. 

The TV show first aired in 2007 and was the number one comedy in the world when it concluded its successful 12-season run in 2019 as the longest-running multi-camera series in television history, with 279 episodes.

Episodes of the podcast will feature backstage secrets and previously unheard stories as well as details about the creative process and decision-making that brought each episode to life.

Guests will include the likes of director James Burrows and cast members Kunal Nayyar, Kevin Sussman, and John Ross Bowie.

The first episode offers a special look into the unaired pilot with co-creator Chuck Lorre and former Warner Bros. Television Group Chairman Peter Roth. Additional guests include Sara Gilbert, Christine Baranski, Vernee Watson, Sara Rue, and many more.

Episode two hears from the legendary director of The Big Bang Theory pilot, James Burrows. James, who has directed iconic sitcoms like “Cheers,” “Frasier,” and “Friends,” reflects on the casting changes between the first and second pilots, the significance of the sperm bank scene, and the memorable stairway and car scenes.

Burrows also shares insights into the cast’s chemistry and the show’s success and legacy. Plus, James reveals that moment during filming when he looked at Chuck Lorre and knew they had “gotten it right.”
