When Life Gives You Lemons podcast returns for season eight

When Life Gives You Lemons continues to share stories of extraordinary people who have turned trauma into triumph as it returns for its eighth season.

The podcast is hosted by motivational speaker and physiotherapist Emma Levy, who founded the show after being diagnosed with breast cancer at 36.

While undergoing treatment, she made it her mission to explore the power of mindset and resilience through conversations with people who’ve faced significant adversity.

Season eight begins with Chelcee Grimes, the singer, songwriter, footballer and presenter, who speaks candidly about witnessing her father’s death as a child, navigating her sexuality and understanding herself better following a recent ADHD diagnosis. Her story sets the tone for a season focused on emotional honesty, strength and personal growth.

The new series also features:

  • Ultrarunner Rob Pope, who ran across America nearly five times – 15,700 miles in total.
  • Wellbeing expert and bestselling author Davinia Taylor, who overcame severe alcoholism through biohacking and transformation.
  • Tom Ball, the former Britain’s Got Talent finalist and teacher, who shares how living with Type 1 diabetes shaped his drive to succeed.
  • Radio DJ and podcaster Rich Clarke, reflecting on shame, self-acceptance, and telling LGBTQIA+ stories.
  • Iranian refugee and Olympic athlete Dorsa Yavarivafa, who escaped her country aged 15 and competed in Paris 2024.

Also appearing this season are mindset coach and supermodel Paul Sculfor, and adventurer Mitch Hutchcraft.

Levy’s previous guests include Tom Daley, Steven McRae, David Holmes, and psychotherapist Anna Mathur.

New episodes are released weekly from today, 5 August across all major podcast platforms.
