Spotify users can now access personalised podcast and music recommendations directly within Claude conversations.
The new integration allows listeners to connect their Spotify account to Claude, bringing tailored suggestions based on individual listening habits and preferences into the chat interface. Recommendations are powered by Spotify’s existing personalisation systems and catalogue data.
Users can ask for podcast suggestions for a commute, request playlists linked to specific artists, or generate music for activities such as exercise. Results can be previewed, saved, played within Claude, or opened in the Spotify app for further listening.
Both Free and Premium Spotify users can use the feature. Premium subscribers also have the option to describe a mood or theme to generate a playlist aligned with their request.
The integration also includes Spotify Connect functionality. This allows users to control playback across devices, making it possible to switch between a phone, laptop, or speaker without leaving the Claude interface.
Spotify says users remain in control of their account connection and can disconnect at any time. The company also states that it does not share music, podcast, or video content with Anthropic for training purposes.
The feature is available globally now across web, mobile, and desktop versions of Claude, including iOS and Android. It is accessible to Free, Pro, and Max Claude users.
For podcast producers, the move introduces another route for discovery, placing shows into conversational search and recommendation flows.
It also reflects ongoing efforts to integrate audio content more directly into AI-driven user experiences, where listening suggestions are shaped by context and user intent rather than traditional browsing.
