The first two episodes of the Celebrity Search engine podcast hosted by AbbieMcCarthy are released today (19 May) with BBC Radio 1 & I’m A Celeb favourite Jordan North and actress & Tracey Beaker star Dani Harmer as guests.
When asked about marriage, Jordan tells Abbie that he can’t ever imagine getting married, but if he did, he says: “It would be very low key and it would definitely be a picky tea as the spread.”
As far as I’m A Celebrity is concerned, Jordan reveals that it happened at the last minute and when he was asked, he said yes before he changed his mind.
He doesn’t know who he replaced, but says: “There’s been a few rumours and a couple of newspaper articles about who it was, but I genuinely don’t know and it’s the thing people ask me all the time.
“We were in talks with them and then for whatever reason we just got a call to say maybe not this year, and I was like do you know what, fine. I’ve got a lot of stuff going on.
“And then we got a call a few weeks later, just saying do you want to do it?
“I said I’m going to say yes, and I’m going to hang up before I change my mind!”
Abbie asks Jordan who he thinks he looks like and he says that a lot of people think he’s similar to Yannis from the band Foals. “I once interviewed him on Radio 1 and I said, has anyone ever said you look like Jordan from the radio and he was like, no, never,” Jordan says.
In episode two, Abbie talks to Dani Harmer who reveals she put on two dress sizes while in lockdown, going from 6 to 8.
When she was on Strictly, Dani says: “People didn’t believe me that I was a size 6 to the point where I would be in interviews and I was literally showing journalists my labels inside of my clothes to prove that I was a size 6.”
She says that there’s no way she’d do that now, but was in her early twenties and was more impressionable. Another reason, she says, is because she was surrounded by beautiful, tall ladies at the time.
“What more is it going to take for people to realise their words have consequences? We’ve lost some really wonderful people over the years. Let’s not lose anymore,” she adds.
Abbie asks if she’d like to be in Line of Duty next season (if there is one), to which Dani admits: “I wouldn’t have a clue what I was saying, but I’d be well up for it and I’d enjoy myself!”
