Podcasts are now being integrated into Twitter

Twitter is integrating podcasts into the platform as a part of its newly redesigned Spaces Tab.

Spaces is where audio conversations happen on Twitter, which allows listeners to simply hit play and go.

The redesign introduces personalised hubs that group audio content together by specific themes like News, Music, Sports, and more. This means you will be able to easily access a more personalised selection of live and recorded Spaces discussing the topics that are most relevant to you.

These new hubs will also feature the most popular and engaging podcasts from around the world.

Twitter says that its internal research shows that 45% of people who use the platform in the US also listen to podcasts monthly, so podcasts will be automatically suggested to help people easily find and listen to the topics they want to hear more about.

To create a customised experience, just give a podcast a โ€œthumbs upโ€ or โ€œthumbs downโ€ to let Twitter know if the content is more or less interesting to you.

The new version of the Spaces Tab, including the addition of podcasts, is visible to a global English-speaking audience on iOS and Android.
