The Line-Up with Shaun Keaveny returns for new series with Johnny Marr

The podcast offers music-loving guests the chance to curate their own dream festival from start to finish.

First guest in the new series, Johnny Marr, is one of the most influential songwriters and guitarists in British independent music. Others lined-up to take part include Joe Lycett, Rag’n’Bone Man, Gaz Coombes and more!

The new season follows The Line-Up’s first ever live audience recordings, at Glastonbury and Latitude festival, which featured Dick and Dom talking about their love of Balearic beats and heavy metal after a night of no sleep and Groove Armada offering an after party with Bryan Ferry serving cocktails in a white jacket whilst Elton John plays piano…not to forget, tofu pig.

No story is too off limits and no conversation too off topic. Conversations across the podcast have featured Foal’s Yannis Philippakis admitting to apologising to The Cures Robert Smith for a drunken encounter at the NME awards, Self Esteem talking about the ongoing pressure to be a positive role model for women, Natasha Bedingfield selecting Bjork to share a stage with Eminem, Ricky Gervais discussing how he copes with grief, Nadine Shah opening up about her friendship with Amy Winehouse, Andrew Garfield contemplating the death of his ego, and Imagine Dragons’ Dan Reynolds selecting Kendrick Lamar to headline over perhaps the most influential band of all time in The Beatles.

The Line-Up with Shaun Keaveny is available from Wednesday 30 November on Apple, Spotify, Acast and all podcast providers.
