London’s E Pellicci returns for series two of its podcast Down The Caff

Down the Caff, the podcast served straight from the legendary E. Pellicci’s caff in Bethnal Green, returns for season two.

After the first season featuring the likes of Ray Winstone, Annie Macmanus, and Hak Baker, Down the Caff has become a bit of a cult hit, offering a candid, no-frills take on celebrity conversation.

Hosted by Anna and Nev Pellicci, the third-generation owners of E. Pellicci, the show invites listeners into the heart of London’s oldest café over ‘a proper plate of grub’, alongside the caff’s celebrity regulars.

These aren’t just passing guests, but familiar faces who’ve become part of the Pellicci family over decades of shared breakfasts and cheeky back-and-forths!

Season two guests include Dermot O’Leary, Roisin Murphy, Tommy Mallet, Miles Kane as well as Maverick Sabre and Eats Everything DJ, who will also perform exclusive live sessions within the caff’s iconic wood-panelled walls.

For 125 years, E. Pellicci has been the East End’s beloved gathering place, where the Krays once dropped in for breakfast and Madonna’s bread pudding was wrapped up to go.

Widowed great-grandmother Elide ran the caff while raising seven kids before her son Nevio Sr. made it an institution.

Now Anna and Nev continue the family legacy with every shift and every episode, keeping the caff’s signature warmth and charm alive. It’s all built on their father’s simple rule: “Treat everyone the same – even West Ham fans!”

Season two of Down the Caff will be available on all podcast platforms from Wednesday 26 February and all episodes can be watched via Spotify.
