Sport Social joins Spotify Partner Program to boost creator revenue

Sport Social Podcast Network has announced it is joining the Spotify Partner Program, strengthening its long-standing relationship with the platform.

It says this will unlock new revenue opportunities for creators across its network. The move allows Sport Social’s creators to earn from both video and audio content as the podcast industry continues to embrace video growth.

All existing video creators on Sport Social now have the option to join the program, while new creators signing with the network can also benefit.

Sport Social will collaborate closely with Spotify to maximise revenue potential for sports podcasters and support their audience growth.

The development extends Sport Social’s track record of securing commercial opportunities for its partners, from social media and YouTube collaborations to live events and influencer campaigns. By embracing video podcasting, the network aims to help creators tap into new audiences and income streams.

Sophie Hind, Managing Director of Sport Social Podcast Network, said: “Video has been a high growth channel in sports podcasting for some time, and we are always developing new ways for our partners to grow their audiences and revenue.

“The Spotify Partner Program gives our creators a fantastic way to engage with new and emerging audiences, while opening up another revenue stream.”

Brontë Edmondson, Partner Manager at Spotify, added: “We’re seeing incredible growth in video, with video podcast consumption in the UK up more than 95% year over year. We’re excited for Sport Social to be a part of this expanding opportunity and bring more revenue opportunities to its creators and shows.”
