A new Amazon Original podcast, +44 Presents: The Noughties has been launched by Amazon Music.
The new weekly show is hosted by BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter and DJ, Nadia Jae, and comedian and BBC Radio 1Xtra presenter, Eddie Kadi.
The podcast is available to listen to exclusively on Amazon Music now, with new episodes available every Friday and is the latest content series from +44, Amazon Music’s flagship UK black music playlist.
+44 celebrates black music genres, the artists that make the music, as well as the culture behind it – connecting audiences to the artists they love via playlists, podcasts and original content.
The new podcast series will see Nadia and Eddie reminisce on one of the most exciting decades for UK black music and culture; the noughties. The hosts will go on a journey of nostalgia, exploring various topics from the fashion trends like baseball caps and double denim, to the rise of UK garage, growing up with black representation in TV, comedy and more.
In each episode they will be joined by a special guest who has paved the way and opened doors for the artists, actors, writers and fashion designers at the top of their game today. Guests include Lethal Bizzle, Chip, Jade LB, Tinchy Stryder, Kojey Radical, So Solid Crew’s Megaman, Richard Blackwood, Jocelyn Jee Eisen, Tolly T and more.
You can find +44 Presents: The Noughties in the Amazon Music app for iOS and Android or by asking ‘Alexa, play the +44 Presents: The Noughties podcast’ on Alexa-enabled devices.
