Andas Productions launches gripping neo-noir audio thriller catskull

Andas Productions has announced the launch of catskull, a neo-noir audio thriller exploring violence, identity and the consequences of taking justice into your own hands.

Adapted from Myle Yan Tay’s award-winning novel, the series follows Ram, a young man overlooked by everyone around him, as he seeks meaning in a city that’s forgotten him.

When Ram’s best friend Kass faces escalating abuse at home, he takes justice into his own hands, donning a mask to confront her abuser.

But after his first night behind the mask, Ram discovers something darker than Kass’s father – the addictive thrill of finally feeling significant. The story explores the line between justice and obsession in a world where morality blurs with survival.

Directed by Roshan Singh Sambhi, who worked as lead producer, co-writer and assistant director on DC High Volume: Batman, the series features immersive sound design by Nathaniel Mah and music by Emmy Award-winner Marcus Thorne Bagala and Jamie Leidwinger.

“What drew us to catskull was the incredibly intimate character-led story at its heart,” said director Roshan Singh Sambhi. “Audio immerses you in Ram’s lived experience; you might understand him completely one moment, then be shocked the next. That tension gets at the urgent questions this book is asking about what drives someone to desperate action.”

The series continues Andas Productions’ legacy of bold, genre-defying audio storytelling. The Singapore-based studio is known for acclaimed fiction podcasts Temujin and Sayang, which have won multiple awards including “Outstanding Drama” and “Best Editing” at NJ Webfest, and “Best of the Best: Overall Audio.”

The company’s work on DC High Volume: Batman earned seven Signal Awards, including Gold for Scripted Fiction and Most Innovative Audio Experience.

New episodes of catskull will be released weekly from today, 24 October on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Castbox, Amazon, Pocket Casts, and all major podcast platforms.
