Angela Hartnett and Nick Grimshaw are taking their hit podcast Dish from Waitrose to the stage for one night only with a live edition at London’s Royal Opera House on 17 September.
The special 90-minute show will bring the dinner party atmosphere of Dish into the iconic venue’s historic main auditorium, complete with recipes, laughter, conversation and surprise guests.
Produced by Cold Glass Productions, the event comes just before the opening of Angela’s brand new restaurant, Cicoria and Bar Cicoria, located on the fifth floor of the Opera House itself.
Angela said: “Performing at the Royal Opera House just before opening Cicoria and Bar Cicoria feels surreal. It’s such a special building, and Nick and I can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.”
Nick added: “We’re beyond excited to be on stage at the Royal Opera House, and we will try and restrain ourselves from attempting any ballet or opera throughout the evening.”
Since launching in 2022, Dish from Waitrose now boasts over 630 million organic views across Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and holds a 4.9/5 listener rating.
Ben Kerr, CEO of Cold Glass Productions, said: “Every week, millions of fans pull up a chair at the Dish from Waitrose table to listen and laugh along via their headphones, speakers, TVs, phones, and laptops.
“On 17th September, over 2,000 people will be able to do it for real, swapping the virtual experience for a red velvet chair in the most beautiful auditorium in the country. It’s going to be some party, overseen by the best hosts in the country – Nick and Angela.”
Tickets for Dish from Waitrose Live at the Royal Opera House are on sale now from rbo.org.uk.
