Audacy has signed a multi-year contract extension with comedians Dana Carvey and David Spade to continue their hit podcast Fly on the Wall.
The new deal deepens Audacy’s collaboration with the two Saturday Night Live stars, which will expand the podcast’s format to combine audio and video and integrate its spin-off Superfly.
The first episode under the extended agreement will be released on 26 June, featuring special guest Julie Bowen. From 30 June, new episodes will release every Monday and Thursday.
Fly on the Wall, which launched in January 2022, has become a favourite among SNL enthusiasts, earning an iHeartPodcast Award for Best Comedy Podcast this year and reaching number one in Comedy on Apple Podcasts.
Guests have included everyone from Lorne Michaels and Chris Rock to Tina Fey, Paul McCartney and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
The spin-off Superfly, launched in February 2024, sees Carvey and Spade talk freely on pop culture, viral clips and audience submissions with their sharp comedy, impressions, and semi-regular guest appearances.
Together, the shows have generated over one hundred million downloads to date.
Later this year, Fly on the Wall and Superfly will merge into one podcast with every episode available in full video. Interactive elements like fan questions will also be introduced to boost engagement.
Leah Reis-Dennis, Head of Podcasts at Audacy, said: “Dana and David have built one of the most engaging, successful comedy podcasts in the space, and as the momentum only continues to grow, we’re thrilled to take this next step with them and bring their content and community to life in new ways.”
Both Carvey and Spade remain household names with long-running comedy careers on screen and stage, and the new format aims to keep them at the top of podcast charts while attracting advertisers looking to connect with a loyal comedy audience.
