Audioboom has appointed Craig Eastwood as Vice President, International, as the podcast company sets its sights on global growth.
Eastwood was previously Commercial Operations Director at Adelicious, the British podcast network Audioboom acquired earlier this year. That deal created the UKโs largest homegrown podcast network, reaching more than 40 million unique listeners and generating 135 million monthly downloads and video views.
In his new position, Eastwood will lead Audioboomโs international strategy over the next five years. His remit includes developing commercial partnerships in key markets, building operational strategies in new territories, and identifying opportunities for mergers and acquisitions outside the US and UK.
These plans are designed to strengthen Audioboomโs role as a partner for creators and advertisers worldwide.
Stuart Last, CEO of Audioboom, said: โThe integration of Adelicious into the Audioboom Group brought together two businesses with a shared commitment to creator success.
โCraigโs leadership has been central to that journey, and he is the right person to help drive the groupโs next phase of global growth. His deep understanding of both the operational and commercial sides of podcasting makes him the ideal person to take on this expanded role.โ
Eastwood added: โThe podcast industry continues to evolve rapidly, and alongside advances in technology, international markets present huge opportunities for both creators and advertisers.
โDrawing on the experience of helping Adelicious achieve rapid growth, Iโm excited to apply those learnings on a larger global scale.
โAs we expand into new territories, my focus will be on making sure Audioboom remains the best platform for creators to build sustainable businesses and for advertisers to connect with audiences in the most impactful way.โ
