Audioboom video revenue doubles as creators embrace visual format

Audioboom has doubled its video revenue since the start of 2025, as more podcasters shift to producing video content.

The company now earns more than 13% of its overall income from video, with over 60% of Audioboom Creator Network members releasing visual versions of their shows.

In the US, Audioboom hosts 11 of the country’s top 100 video podcasts, and video content made up 20% of podcast consumption across Audioboom and Adelicious in June.

That month alone, video podcasts on the platform were viewed more than 22 million times, with video RPM reaching $40.74 as a result of a strategy launched in 2024 to grow video operations.

Stuart Last, CEO of Audioboom, said: “As the industry continues to navigate podcast consumers’ shift to video, Audioboom and Adelicious have emerged as leaders in the space, with our video strategy already generating significant revenue for those creators producing video content.”

The growing appetite for video is backed by recent research. Edison Research’s July 2025 study revealed that 26% of US adults now watch video podcasts weekly, while 31% of podcast listeners find new shows through video platforms.

Sounds Profitable’s new report found that 33% of weekly video podcast audiences watch more than nine hours of content, compared to just 19% of audio-only listeners.

Audioboom says it plans to roll out further developments to its video strategy later this year to help creators earn more and reach wider audiences.
