Audioboom’s end of year numbers show rapid growth in video podcasting

Audioboom has released its 2025 In Numbers review, showing video podcasting at the heart of the company’s strongest year to date.

The podcast publisher ended this year as the number one video podcast publisher globally, according to Podscribe, delivering 325 million video views and placing 13 shows in YouTube’s Top one hundred Podcast ranker.

Across all podcast formats, listeners spent more than 1.5 billion hours with Audioboom content this year, while the platform now reaches 50 million monthly unique listeners across 195 countries.

Video growth also supported wider audience engagement, with Audioboom positioning itself as a major player as more listeners and advertisers turn to visual podcast formats alongside traditional audio.

The company continued to scale its creator network globally, with more than 200,000 podcast episodes published last year, supporting a community of around 8,000 independent creators.

That growth translated into significant financial returns for podcasters on the platform, generating $63 million in creator earnings during 2025.

Audioboom said the figures reflect a year focused on strengthening its technology, tools and monetisation opportunities, while expanding podcasting’s reach to new audiences worldwide.

Stuart Last, Chief Executive Officer of Audioboom, said: “Our year in numbers highlights how video is now central to audiences engaging with podcasts.

“Audioboom is the world’s number one video podcast publisher, which is a significant marker of where the industry is heading and an important milestone for us.”

He added: “These numbers reflect a year focused on growing podcasting globally, with the best tools, technology and financial support.”

Audioboom’s results come as video podcasting continues to gain momentum across platforms such as YouTube, with publishers increasingly investing in hybrid audio and video strategies.
