Bauer Media Group has announced a leadership overhaul, with a new structure designed to drive faster decisions and strengthen its position across publishing, outdoor, and sound.
From 1 January 2026, Bauer’s new three-person Board will be led by Yvonne Bauer as Chair, joined by Vivian Mohr, who steps up from President of Audio to become Chief Operating Officer, and Michael Davie, newly appointed Chief Financial Officer.
The move follows a year of strategic growth across Bauer’s global portfolio, including its expanding audio brands in the UK and Europe.
As Mohr transitions to his new role, Bauer Media Audio UK CEO Simon Myciunka takes on the title of President of Audio while continuing to oversee the UK business.
His appointment reflects the company’s ongoing investment in the medium, which remains Bauer’s fastest-growing division across multiple markets.
Mohr will also lead the newly formed Group Leadership Team, which unites Bauer’s senior talent from its core business areas.
The team includes Justin Cochrane as President of Outdoor and CEO of Outdoor UK, Ingo Klinge as President of Publishing and CEO of Publishing Germany, Svenja Dimke as Senior Vice President People, and Tina Sany-Davies as Group General Counsel.
In a statement, Yvonne Bauer said: “Over recent years, Bauer Media has achieved healthy and profitable growth with a clear focus on our core strengths. This new leadership structure allows us to make decisions faster, seize opportunities, and continue our transformation with confidence.”
Mohr added: “The Group Leadership Team combines entrepreneurial spirit and deep expertise across our key businesses. Aligning strategy, operational strength and market insight gives us the speed and unity we need to drive the next chapter of growth.”
The announcement comes after Bauer integrated its Outdoor division and expanded digital investment across its publishing and audio operations. The changes also reflect Bauer’s commitment to developing leadership talent from within the organisation, with all major appointments filled by internal candidates.
For the audio sector, the shift reinforces Bauer’s focus on innovation and content development, from DAB and smart speakers to podcasting and streaming platforms.
With Myciunka now responsible for Bauer’s global audio vision, the company is positioning itself for continued expansion in on-demand audio and branded podcast production, areas where it has seen significant audience and revenue growth.
