The British Podcast Awards 2025 took over Indigo at The O2 in London for the very first time, with comedian and podcaster Maisie Adam hosting a packed evening of celebration.
The top honour of Podcast of the Year was awarded to Kill List, which also won Best True Crime Podcast. Judges praised the investigative series for its forensic reporting and gripping storytelling, following the headlines it made on release.
Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett were recognised as Best Hosts for their hit interview series Dish, while Elis James and John Robins continued their winning streak by securing Best Comedy Podcast.
Miquita Oliver and Lily Allen’s Miss Me? was crowned the first-ever winner of the Video Innovation Award, marking a new chapter for the show after Allen’s announcement of a break from podcasting.
The Listeners’ Choice Award went to Betwixt the Sheets: The History of Sex, Scandal & Society, which continues to be a fan favourite.
Meanwhile, Ed Gamble’s The Traitors: Uncloaked scooped Best Entertainment Podcast and the Spotlight Award, just as the comedian prepares for a new series of the companion show ahead of Celebrity Traitors launching next week.
Pod Save the UK, hosted by Nish Kumar and Coco Khan, was honoured with the Podcast Champion Award for its mix of politics and comedy.
Other Gold winners on the night included Movers & Shakers: a podcast about life with Parkinson’s in the Impact category, Inbetween Man for Health & Wellbeing, and Sonic Fields in Arts & Culture.
Presenters on the night included Emma Barnett (Chair of Judges), Nick Grimshaw, Joe Marler, Sara Cox & Clare Hamilton, Jordan North & William Hanson, Diana Vickers, Alexander Dragonetti, Coco Khan, Rubina Pabani & Poppy Jay, Chris Sweeney and Steffan Powell.
