CBeebies is bringing back its hit Parenting Helpline podcast for a second series later this month.
Hosted by Holly Hagan-Blyth and BBC Radio 1’s Charlie Hedges, the new series continues to offer honest, expert-led advice for parents of young children, with real questions and raw experiences at its core.
Each episode tackles common early-years struggles, from tantrums and fussy eating to mental health and relationship changes, with help from leading experts including nutritionist Charlotte Stirling Reed, psychologist Dr Emma Hepburn and therapist Rachel Gold.
Holly and Charlie also share their own experiences as new mums, creating a supportive, judgement-free space where parents feel heard and understood, no matter what they’re dealing with.
The series blends conversations with moments of humour, covering everything from potty training disasters to the pressure to be a “perfect” parent, while promoting empathy, honesty and connection.
Holly Hagan-Blythe says: “The support we’ve received for the first series has meant so much to us and we’re so happy to continue our mission of supporting new parents with another series of Parenting Helpline.
“We’ve laughed, cried and shared a lot from our own experiences with help from a range of incredible experts.
“We hope this new series will offer lots of easy and tangible tips for parents, carers and anyone raising young children for the first time.”
Charlie Hedgesadds: “I’m thrilled to be opening more conversations around the highs and lows of early parenthood with series two of CBeebies Parenting Helpline.
“While those first years are incredibly special, they can also feel overwhelming. I’m so proud that we’re continuing to build this strong and supportive community, as no parent should feel alone.”
Episodes will be available from 21 August, first on BBC Sounds, with weekly releases across all major platforms and a visualised version to watch on BBC iPlayer.
