DMG Media has launched The Crime Desk, a brand-new podcast network for the company’s slate of award-winning true crime podcasts.
The Crime Desk launches with The Trial+, which gives subscribers access to The Trial franchise. This includes access to weekly bonus episodes covering the biggest ongoing cases, ad-free listening and full access to the already extensive archive.
Subscribers will have access to a new mini-series about the shocking developments that have rocked the Lucy Letby case.
Since its launch in 2023, The Trial has had over 40 million downloads and remained at the forefront of opening up the courtroom to the podcasting world.
Episodes offer in-depth, behind-the-scenes coverage of landmark trials. With exclusive interviews from detectives, victims, and experts, as well as detailed analysis of key moments and unfolding evidence, The Trial has become a trusted voice in modern true crime storytelling.
Jamie East, DMG’s Head of Podcasts, says: “The feedback from our avid listeners was that they want more – and who are we to deny them!
“The Crime Desk is now the home of our award-winning true crime podcasts and to kick-start it, The Trial+ allows our hosts to cover more cases, interview more people and answer more questions for our members. We have some incredible cases lined up and I just know our listeners are going to love them.
“Since its launch, The Trial has become a podcast phenomenon. Its unique and sensitive approach to True Crime has seen it cover some of the biggest court cases in the country, and now with the imminent Trial of Diddy, the world.”
This marks the beginning of DMG’s expansion into subscription-based listening, with a range of brand-new series in the coming months.
You can subscribe at The Crime Desk website or Apple Podcasts from today, Wednesday 19 March.
