TED Talks Daily host Elise Hu is giving fans a new way to experience the platform, curating her own playlist of ten influential talks.
These talks will include some of those that have shaped her outlook on life, love, and human connection. Itโs the first time a TED host has created a personal collection of this kind.
The playlist is being released today, 20 September, with all ten talks available at once. Each selection includes an introduction from Elise, where she explains how it influenced her perspective and why it continues to resonate.
Her choices bring together some of TEDโs most memorable and widely shared voices. They include Brenรฉ Brownโs landmark TEDx talk on vulnerability, Esther Perelโs reflections on infidelity, Sarah Kayโs spoken-word piece If I Had a Daughter, and Suleika Jaouadโs moving reflections on what dying teaches us about living.
Also featured are Dan Gilbert on happiness, Shankar Vedantam on why we underestimate our future selves, George Monbiot on political storytelling, James Kunstler on suburban design, Lori Gottlieb on freedom and change, and Heather McGhee on how racism harms everyone.
Elise is both a host and contributor to TEDโs global community. She has been the voice of TED Talks Daily since 2020 and is behind a viral TED Talk on digital culture. Her playlist marks a first for the organisation, combining personal curation with the scale of TEDโs worldwide reach.
