The seventh season of Desert Island Dishes features mix of guests including Instagram foodie Jesse Jenkins and Queen of Caribbean cooking Shivi Ramoutar.
Each weekly show sees professional chef Margie Nomura interview interesting people from the world of food and beyond to uncover the seven dishes that have shaped their lives.
Previous guests include the likes of award-winning actor Stanley Tucci, healthy eating icon Joe Wicks and skincare tycoon Liz Earle sharing recipes from their own personal archive.
Guests often share never heard before stories of intimate family moments, or unheard snippets from their career. The emphasis is that it’s about much more than the food, it’s about the memories and the people who the food was shared with.
Season seven of the podcast kicked off officially this month and has featured the likes of singer-songwriter Jack Savoretti, Instagram foodie sensation Jesse Jenkins, Queen of Caribbean cooking Shivi Ramoutar and renowned restaurateur Dan Keeling, Co-Founder of Noble Rot.
Future guests confirmed for the coming weeks include Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Twiggy, Andy Oliver and John Torode.
Speaking about the return of the podcast, host Margie Nomura says: “After taking some much-needed time away from the podcast since becoming a mother, I’m thrilled to be in a position now where I can dedicate myself to recording and releasing weekly episodes again.
“Since taking the plunge to start the podcast, I’ve grown such a dedicated and lovely community of fellow foodies who I can’t wait to take with me on this journey as I aim to continue the success of Desert Island Dishes and really aim for the stars with the guests that we have on.”
New episodes of Desert Island Dishes are released every Thursday at 7am and available on all podcast platforms.
