Soccer AM favourites Tim Lovejoy, Tubes, Robbie Knox and Sheephead are back together for a new weekly podcast.
The People’s Front of Football mixes nostalgic banter with fresh takes on the modern game.
The video-first series aims to bring back the much-loved Saturday morning humour that defined their time on Soccer AM, with each episode combining sketches, daft debates and a tongue-in-cheek look at football culture.
In the latest episode, former Premier League star Steve Sidwell, who recalls his unforgettable first call with José Mourinho, reveals how Jack Grealish once egged his house, and debates whether he’ll join the new movement.
On the egged house story, Steve says: “Jack Grealish used to trick or treat when I used to play at Villa, I didn’t know this until we bumped into each other a couple of years back.
“We was living in a little cul-de-sac in Solihull, a few of players were. He was at the Academy at the time, very young 10-11, maybe younger than that. And he said to his mates, oh, ‘that’s where the Villa boys live down there!’ and they used to come knock on the house and throw the eggs.
“Then he told me, ‘Do you remember the boys who used to egg your house? That was us!’”
The gang also launch “GOAT Busters,” their own plan to settle football’s most heated argument – who really is the greatest of all time?
Episodes are released weekly on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Global Player.
