Audible has signed an exclusive, multi-project development deal with Smokehouse Pictures, the production company founded by Academy Award and Golden Globe winning actor, director, and producer George Clooney and Academy Award-winning producer, Grant Heslov.
As part of the collaboration, Audible and Smokehouse Pictures will create a slate of audio-only original projects. Smokehouse Pictures continues to make its mark in film, acquiring rights to projects like How to Build a Truth Engine and Across the River.

This deal follows Audibleโs recently announced production and development deals with leading creatives such as Kerry Washingtonโs Simpson Street, Hillman Grad Productions founded by Lena Waithe and Rishi Rajani, Queen Latifahโs Flavor Unit, Elizabeth Banks, Laura Dernโs Jaywalker Pictures, Kenya Barrisโ Khalabo Ink Society, Topic Studios, Treefort Media, Team Coco, Steph Curryโs Unanimous Media, Kevin Hartโs HartBeat Productions, Charlamagne tha Godโs CTHAGOD World Productions, and The SpringHill Company, founded by LeBron James and Maverick Carter.
Projects produced under this new deal will join a series of Audible Originals including recent releases like the #1 New York Times best-selling audio fiction The Sandman and The Sandman: Act II from Neil Gaiman, performed by James McAvoy, Kat Dennings and Michael Sheen, Jesse Eisenbergโs When You Finish Saving the World, Broadway Videoโs Hot White Heist directed by Alan Cumming and starring all-queer cast led by Bowen Yang, Self Center created in collaboration with Team Coco and performed by Judy Greer and Kim Cattrall, Russell Brandโs Revelation, I Am Mine written and performed by Eddie Vedder, James Pattersonโs The Coldest Case starring Aaron Paul, among many more.
