Global has launched Global Studios, a new creative hub designed to lead the way in video-first podcasting.
The company also confirmed the acquisition of The Fellas Studios, one of the UK’s most successful creator networks.
Unveiled today (7 October), Global Studios will be the new home for Global’s award-winning podcast slate, including The News Agents and My Therapist Ghosted Me, alongside hit titles from The Fellas Studios such as The Fellas, Saving Grace, Pitchside and Bach & Arthur.
Positioned as a one-stop shop for creators, Global Studios offers premium video and audio production facilities, seamless multi-platform distribution, and marketing support powered by Global’s extensive radio, digital and outdoor networks.
The new operation integrates technology from Captivate and monetisation expertise from DAX, providing creators and advertisers with access to advanced data insights and revenue opportunities.
Founded in 2021 by YouTubers Callum Airey (Calfreezy) and Joshua Larkin (The Burnt Chip), The Fellas Studios has quickly built a strong following among Gen Z audiences, producing high-profile shows that attract millions of views and listens across YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and social platforms.
Ashley Tabor-King CBE, Founder & Executive President of Global, said: “The launch of Global Studios marks the start of the next chapter in Global’s on-demand audio and video growth.
“We’re delighted to welcome The Fellas Studios to the Global family — they’ve built one of the UK’s leading creator networks and we’re excited to work with them on this next phase.”
Simon Pitts, Global’s Group CEO, added: “Global Studios will be the ultimate home for standout, video-first podcast shows – a place where creators can grow and brands can connect at scale.”
Callum Airey said: “Partnering with Global will strengthen and expand what we can deliver,” while Joshua Larkin added: “This partnership gives us the scale and expertise to reach bigger audiences and support our talent.”
