Global has unveiled its Christmas podcast line-up for this year, with a mix of specials, mini-series and end-of-year reflections.
All shows feature on Global Player across December and into early January.
The schedule began on 1 December with You’re Wrong About ADHD: Your 12 Day Countdown to a Calmer Christmas, running through to 23 December. It’s a festive audio advent calendar designed to support people navigating the Christmas period with ADHD.
Across twelve short episodes, the podcast delivers two-to-five-minute bursts of practical advice and reassurance, to help listeners manage expectations, routines and sensory overload during one of the busiest times of the year.
From 22 December to 2 January, James O’Brien Daily returns with a seasonal focus, giving audiences the chance to revisit Mastery Hour, one of the programme’s most popular features, where listeners set the agenda by choosing the topics for discussion.
On 23 December, Christiane Amanpour Presents: The Ex Files with Jamie Rubin – a Christmas special, with the pair looking back at and reacting to the biggest news stories of 2025, offering context and reflection at the end of a busy year.
Christmas Eve sees a lighter tone with Shouldn’t Laugh But with Laura Smyth and Carmen Butcher – 12 Laughs of Christmas, a festive run of episodes revisiting the year’s most viral, memorable and outrageous moments from pop culture and beyond.
The comedy duo explore everything from headline-grabbing celebrity mishaps to awkward viral clips, delivering twelve laugh-out-loud episodes designed to bring some levity to the festive build-up.
James O’Brien returns again on 26 December and 2 January with Full Disclosure, selecting two of his favourite interviews from the archive, featuring conversations with Dawn French and Daniel Radcliffe, originally recorded in 2020.
On 27 December and 3 January, We Can Be Weirdos offers end-of-year specials hosted by Dan Schreiber, including a listener Q&A and a look ahead to unusual New Year’s resolutions from around the world.
Crime fans are also catered for, with The Crime Agents releasing specials on 23 and 30 December, as Andy Hughes and Neil Basu present their 12 Crimes of Christmas, reviewing the year’s biggest crime stories before turning the tables on each other in an extended Q&A.
