Tipsy Tourism, the hit podcast hosted by ‘Cheap Holiday Expert’ Chelsea Dickenson (founder of cheapholidayexpert.com), and her radio producer ‘housemate’ James Robinson is now into its second season.
It combines top tourist attractions with a tipple or three, as Chelsea chooses where they go and James chooses what will accompany them from the drinks trolley, and listeners accompany them on their trip.
The pair document their whole experience, unearthing lesser-known interesting facts about their destination and finding the best places to sneak off to for a quick swig from their hip flask. They then settle back at home to give the final verdict on whether this tourist attraction has bucket list potential or not.
Season One saw Chelsea and James visit Harrods (with a WKD, naturally), Up at the O2 (with Rum on the Rocks) and the Marble Arch Mound, dubbed “London’s worst tourist attraction” (but made better by a Turbo Shandy).
Season two sees them visiting legendary London locations, areas of interest beyond the M25 and even an international trip or two.
So far, they’ve been to Oxford Castle and Dungeon with a Zombie, Corfu Old Town with Kumquat Liquor, released today they are at Westminster Abbey with White Lightning and there’s more to come, including A Hot Air Balloon Ride in Vilnius, Lithuania.

James said: “I love that we have the excuse to actually do some tourism now, rather than aim to and then end up going to a pub. Now we get to do both and I’m so happy that people apparently love to listen to this.”
Chelsea added: “Before I worked in travel, I spent years making radio documentaries and so it was really important to me that we didn’t just record at home but recorded out on location and took our listeners along with us.
“It’s been lovely getting messages from people who haven’t been able to travel to say they’ve been exploring through us!”
Tipsy Tourism is available on most platforms including Apple, Spotify, Amazon, Google, Global Player.
