I’m Feeling Queer Today podcast returns with road trip youth stories

The podcast I’m Feeling Queer Today! is back with a brand-new season, going on a road trip to hear the stories of queer youth across America.

Launching today, season three explores what it is like to be an LGBTQ+ person in different parts of the United States. Each episode visits a new city to capture the local queer youth experience through personal storytelling, interviews, music, and conversation.

This season visits five cities, including Spartanburg in South Carolina, where an LGBTQ+ youth centre operates in a Baptist church basement, and Provo in Utah, home to a joyful haven for both religious and secular queer people.

Other stops include a performing arts high school in Philadelphia, the pride-all-year atmosphere of Provincetown in Massachusetts, and Columbus in Ohio, where a long-standing queer youth centre has supported generations.

The podcast is produced by The Future Perfect Project with a team of young LGBTQ+ producers. It aims to centre and empower queer youth by giving them a platform to share their lived experiences and shape conversations about identity, community, and belonging.

Celeste Lecesne from The Future Perfect Project said: “Never before has it been so important to hear directly from LGBTQ+ youth. And I’m Feeling Queer Today! does exactly that. We’re handing them the mic and they’re having their say.”

Season three is available from today, 10 July on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon Music, and all major platforms.
