Jack Edwards has officially launched the Inklings Book Club podcast, expanding the reach of his fast-growing literary community into audio.
The podcast is the latest development in a project Edwards first teased earlier this year through a private Instagram account that kept fans guessing.
Inklings began as a book club requested by Edwards’ three million social media followers, and has already grown to more than 50,000 members.
The group’s first pick, Evenings & Weekends by Oisín McKenna, sparked active discussion and enthusiastic support, reflecting Edwards’ emphasis on creating a community rather than just a club.
His rules ensure monthly book picks must be available in paperback and in libraries to keep the choices affordable and accessible.
The podcast builds on this ethos with weekly interviews featuring leading figures in literature.
Each month, one episode will focus on the selected book pick, with Edwards either speaking directly to the author or to a guest closely connected with the title. Every other Wednesday, he will sit down with writers to discuss their latest releases, their creative process, and fresh perspectives readers may not have considered.
“This is the podcast for book lovers everywhere,” Edwards said, adding that his passion for sharing stories is at the heart of the project.
Edwards has been creating content for nearly a decade, establishing himself as one of the UK’s most influential literary tastemakers. Known for his candid reviews, seasonal reading recommendations, and deep dives into book culture, he has become a leading voice in the online book community.
His work has already been recognised across the literary world. Edwards has presented the Booker Prize Awards livestream, appeared on BBC Two’s Between the Covers, and spoken at major international festivals including Cheltenham, Munich, Singapore, Gothenburg, and Hay Festival, where he was Creator in Residence.
He has also been featured on Dua Lipa’s Service 95 platform and was recently named on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list.
The Inklings Book Club podcast is now available on all major podcast platforms, providing a new space for Edwards to connect with his audience while continuing to support writers and readers alike.
