Jameela Jamil reveals biological age of 20 on Katherine Ryan podcast

Jameela Jamil appeared this week on Katherine Ryan’s podcast What’s My Age Again? and discovered her biological age is just 20.

During the episode, the actor, activist and podcaster discussed her lifelong health challenges and credited her youthful result not to trends or beauty routines, but to her anger and determination.

She also opened up about her EMDR therapy and her personal decision not to have children, describing it as a powerful choice connected to her views on aging.

“I think a lot about my 85-year-old self, and I want her to know that I was excited for her arrival and that I didn’t dread her incoming,” Jamil said. “I prefer the way I look now to how I looked in my 20s. And my boyfriend prefers the way that I look now.”

Jamil reflected on her outspoken stance against beauty culture and anti-aging pressures on women.

“I like makeup, I like nice clothes, I like anything that can come off and won’t do my body any damage. But I’m angry it has become hyper-normalised for women to take immense risks with their bodies,” she said.

She also spoke candidly about her past eating disorder, revealing how much of life she missed due to starvation.

The episode highlights both Jamil’s personal journey and her critique of societal pressures on women’s bodies, with reflections on health, aging and self-acceptance.

What’s My Age Again? featuring Jameela Jamil is available now on the Rayo app, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, Spotify and all major platforms.
