Edison Podcast Metrics has published its latest Top 25 Podcasts in the UK, covering the second quarter of 2025 and reflecting listening habits of people aged 15 and above.
The Joe Rogan Experience holds on to the number one spot, followed by The Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett, which moves up one place.
The Rest Is Politics slips one place to third, while The Rest Is History stays strong in fourth. Football remains a draw, with The Rest Is Football climbing two spots to fifth, and That Peter Crouch Podcast dropping one place to sixth.
Comedy and entertainment continue to make waves, with The Rest Is Entertainment now at seven, and Off Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster sliding two places to tenth. Newscast and The News Agents also see gains, ranking eighth and ninth.
The Mel Robbins Podcast makes its debut in the UK Top 25 at number 17, echoing its rapid rise in the U.S. Meanwhile, BBC Radio 4’s What’s Up Docs, launched in March, is climbing quickly and sits just outside the chart.
Goalhanger’s growing influence continues, with The Rest Is Politics: US steadily increasing in rank and edging closer to the Top 25, which could soon give the network five charting shows.
This quarter’s update also introduces a change in methodology. Edison now includes data from people who only consumed podcasts via video in the past week. As a result, video-led shows like Call Her Daddy and The Louis Theroux Podcast surged in the rankings, climbing 17 and 30 places respectively.
