Audible has released a new original podcast, Katherine Ryan’s Christmas Intervention, hosted by the award-winning comedian and featuring her husband Bobby Koostra and daughter Violet.
The series is described as part seasonal survival guide and part family therapy session. The trio revisit their biggest Christmas disasters and try to find a way to actually enjoy the festive season if they can agree on anything.
Topics range from gift pressure and food arguments to travel chaos and past holiday feuds, including one memorable year of aggressive gastric flu.
Across the series, Katherine and her family are joined by celebrity guests she calls her “Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future”.
Guests include comedians Sindhu Vee, Josh Widdicombe, Tom Allen, Sara Pascoe, Nick Mohammad and Fatiha El-Ghorri, alongside Larry Lamb, Anna Williamson, Bryony Gordon and others.
Katherine said: “I love the holidays, but they can be chaotic, overwhelming and no one can agree on how to do it right.
“Least of all my extended family, many of who I no longer talk to thanks to Christmas feuding – festive! So, I’ve forced my household together, as well as a whole lot of my friends, to try and find a better way.”
Katherine Ryan’s Christmas Intervention is available now exclusively on Audible at audible.co.uk (Audible membership may be required).
