Comedian Kemah Bob is launching ICEBERGS, a podcast looking beyond the surface, into the world of self-discovery and self-acceptance.
Kemah talks to big names in entertainment from across the globe, as they reflect on their experiences (some deep, some… less deep) to discover what a good life is to them.
Guests include the likes of James Acaster, Sophie Duker, Nish Kumar, Reuben Kaye and Michelle Brasier as they chat through the tricky times with a healthy dose of optimism, hilarious relatability, and some if-you-don’t-laugh-you’ll-cry moments.
Sophie Duker talks about dodging vulnerable emotions, Nish Kumar opens up about navigating his PTSD diagnosis and James Acaster discusses his full circle return to music.
Kemah also takes a moment of introspection before each guest to explore her own journey through topics such as mental health medication, pushing through fear and embracing new challenges.
“I’ve always wanted to offer people more than laughs and I think Icebergs merges empathy and entertainment in a way that feels very ‘me’ and will hopefully be very useful to listeners.
“Everyone I talk to, from age 18 to 80 is just trying to figure out how to live. I think the best way to learn is through the stories of other people, and I’m so grateful to my guests for being open and sharing their stories with me.
“I’ve already learned so much and am so excited to share this journey of self-exploration with the world,” says Kamah.
From Keep It Light Media, ICEBERGS launches today, 18 March with an introduction episode and then the first episode, featuring Sophie Duker, will be available on 20 March, with future episodes released every Thursday on all podcast platforms.
