London Podcast Festival returns to King’s Place in September

Now in its eighth year, the London Podcast Festival will return to King’s Place from 7-17 September.

Kings Place is the UK’s home of live podcasting, having presented podcast shows since 2010 before the launch of the London Podcast Festival in 2016 which was Europe’s first major podcast festival.

The eleven-day Festival will bring together some of the biggest names in podcasting and new talent with a line-up of live shows, workshops, meet and greets, panels and more, in a celebration of the artform.

Kings Place’s Deputy Director Zoë Jeyes puts the programme together, which makes use of the three performance spaces, ground-floor Podcast Lounge, bar, restaurant and canal terrace.

Those attending can experience multiple events in one day while also networking with the podcast community. For global audiences, many of the live podcast shows will be livestreamed via KPlayer, Kings Place’s bespoke pay-per-view platform.

Partners, live shows, workshops, panels and other events will be announced across the summer in the lead-up to the Festival. Current highlights which are on sale now include:

Since its launch in 2016, the London Podcast Festival has welcomed over 50,000 visitors and over 600 podcasters, playing a key role in the growth of the podcast industry.

Zoë Jeyes, London Podcast Festival Producer and Programmer, said: “It’s been 13 years since we started hosting live podcasts at Kings Place. During that time the audience for these unique events has grown, but one thing hasn’t changed… Kings Place is the home of live podcasting in the UK!

“We’ve championed the artform from day one, giving a wide range of podcasters and curators a live platform and supporting them through all aspects of production.

“Our team help podcasters create one-of-a-kind live shows for their fans in our beautiful venue. I am so excited to share the first events in this year’s festival, a taster of a programme that brings together the very best UK and international podcasts, alongside workshops, panels and special events.

“Take a look through the amazing live shows already confirmed and stay tuned for lots more announcements!”
