Audacy has launched a new weekly podcast, Simpsons Declassified with Nancy Cartwright.
It will give fans unprecedented access to behind-the-scenes stories from the longest-running scripted series in American primetime television.
The show, hosted by the voice of Bart Simpson herself, is produced by Monica Gil-Rodriguez and co-hosted by Sofy Kurtz, who joins Cartwright to share untold stories, personal memories, and surprising insights from more than three decades of The Simpsons.
There will be accounts of scenes that almost never made it to air, ways in which Bart began to mirror Cartwright’s own life, and the moments that continue to surprise her even after 36 seasons.
Episodes will also take a deeper look at the show’s famously uncanny predictions and the conspiracies that have circulated among fans for years.
Guests will include actors, writers, directors, and high-profile fans, many of whom will take part in themed games and share their favourite theories.
Confirmed names already lined up include Oscar-winning actor Allison Janney, musician “Weird Al” Yankovic, and long-time Simpsons writer and showrunner Mike Reiss, with more guests set to be announced.
“We’re thrilled to finally launch Simpsons Declassified; a four-year labour of love for the fans,” said Cartwright and Gil-Rodriguez in a joint statement. “We couldn’t be more excited to partner with Leah Reis-Dennis and her incredible team at Audacy to bring this dream project to life.”
Audacy’s Head of Podcasts, Leah Reis-Dennis, added: “Nancy Cartwright is the voice of a generation; her fearless, hilarious, and larger-than-life performance as Bart Simpson has made her a cultural icon.
“With Nancy’s insight and reflections, Simpsons Declassified will thrill and entertain millions of Simpsons fans and offer an inside perspective as never heard before.”
Simpsons Declassified with Nancy Cartwright has now launched on YouTube and everywhere podcasts are available, with new episodes released every Thursday.
