Neural DSP, best known for its pioneering guitar and bass processing software, has launched its first vocal production tool, Mantra.
This new plugin is designed to replace the traditional chain of separate vocal plugins by uniting every core recording and mixing process into one interface.
Mantra includes pitch correction, EQ, compression, gating, de-essing, harmonies, and effects, all in a single workspace, allowing users to move from raw recording to polished mix without disrupting their creative flow.
It offers two distinct modes: Tracking Mode for low-latency real-time monitoring and Mixing Mode for maximum quality and detail when finalising a track.
“Our mission with Mantra was simple,” said Francisco Cresp, CPO and Co-Founder of Neural DSP Technologies. “We wanted to put a world-class vocal studio into one plugin so artists can focus on feeling, expression, and performance instead of wrestling with technical hurdles.”
The plugin’s Sculpt module intelligently analyses voice and microphone in real time, applying a tonal curve that instantly enhances clarity and presence.
Other features include a multimode compressor with Tube, Stress, and Multi settings, saturation options for warmth or gritty textures, and up to eight harmony layers with natural pitch and timing variation. Delay, reverb, modulation, and a proprietary Doubler complete the creative toolkit.
While built for vocals, Mantra’s flexible processing also works on instruments such as synths, drums, and guitars, making it a versatile sound design option for producers.
Neural DSP says it aims to deliver the warmth of vintage hardware with modern precision and reliability, catering to both beginners and experienced creators.
