New app simplifies remote collaboration for audio content creators

Silver Audio is a new app designed to simplify remote collaboration for podcasters, musicians, producers, and engineers.

The Silver Audio platform makes creative cooperation, communication, and refinement easier by giving users tools to organise, collect, and share feedback on audio files, minimising the problems caused by working across platforms and long distances.

Co-founded by longtime musical collaborators Rushi Panchal and Theja Pingali, Silver Audio was built on the premise that efficient communication and feedback can be the difference between an idea that stays on a hard drive and a work that reaches an audience.

When widely available feedback methods such as notes apps, text documents, and pen and paper proved to be fragmented and inefficient – especially as more collaborators got involved – Panchal and Pingali began working on the solution.

Rushi Panchal, whose background includes microfluidics engineering and life sciences product management as well as songwriting and composition, says: “Before we ever thought of building an app together, Theja and I had been working on music together while living in different countries for years.

“We had the bases covered – he handled mixing, production, and bass, while I’d write, sing, play guitar, and arrange. What we didn’t have was a good system to discuss and document our ideas.”

Theja Pingali, who brings experience in embedded systems engineering to his role as co-founder and lead software developer, adds: “Our discussions were spread across a handful of apps, and our audio files were scattered around a few others.

“Whenever we needed to make edits based on each other’s feedback or reference previous versions, we had to go on a scavenger hunt across platforms.

“Talking with other friends and collaborators in the audio space, we realized we weren’t the only ones having the problem—so we built Silver Audio to solve it.”

Silver Audio features are designed to streamline every step of the feedback and project refinement process for musicians, producers, engineers, and podcasters:

  • Precise Commenting: No more vague notes or endless back-and-forth. Add feedback directly at specific points in the audio, with the option to insert flags or leave general comments, making feedback precise and actionable.
  • Hassle-free Version Control: Bold new ideas can come from old revisions. Seamlessly track progress, revisit past feedback, and refine your work without losing valuable input.
  • Integrated Project Organization: We don’t believe in “too many” audio projects. Manage multiple projects with intuitive file structures that keep everything in one place, so creativity never gets lost in clutter.

While many audio collaboration solutions are designed for large studios or other professional organisations, Silver Audio is developed specifically for hobbyists and independent creators, with all of its core features available for free with ad support.

The company says it will also be offering expanded storage, track allowances, and integrations through premium tiers for a fraction of its competitors’ costs.

“I’m so excited about releasing Silver Audio to the world, because it’s the product I’ve always wanted in my workflow as a musician,” Panchal said. “I only wish I had built it three albums ago!”
