Media Personality and entrepreneur Jonny Gould is launching a new initiative as Managing Owner of Public Service Podcasting Limited.
Its aim is to serve minority communities with reliable news, who are either overlooked by or misrepresented in the mainstream media.
Speaking about his new venture, Jonny says: “This is public service for a new age, wholly funded by philanthropists, private individuals and companies. We are demonstrating a new funding model for public service broadcasting and how it can produce fair, factual and reliable news from trusted and experienced sources.
“There are minorities of all kinds (religious, lifestyle, disability) left behind by the media without an adequate outlet to explain the choices they make or decisions they take.
“We will inform, educate and entertain with perspectives from those underrepresented, not represented at all or even misrepresented by mainstream media.
“This is all about increasing tolerance in society. Does existing media do that?”
The new company is seeking support through donations via a Gift Aid page and is interested in hearing from anyone who would like to know more about how their community might benefit from the new service.
