New podcasts hosted by well-known women broadcasters, journalists and entertainers are coming BBC Sounds around this International Women’s Day.

Michelle Visage discovers the mavericks who changed the world in Rule Breakers, best pals Cat Deeley and Edith Bowman explore lasting friendships in Friends Will Be Friends, journalist India Rakusen looks at everything to do with the menstrual cycle in 28(ish) Days Later and The Big Green Money Show with Deborah Meaden uncovers the realities behind corporations attempting to drive environmental change.

Friends Will Be Friends with Cat Deeley and Edith Bowman

Cat Deeley and Edith Bowman have been friends for over two decades. Their friendship has stood not only the test of time, but also living on separate continents. Now they are back in the same country and eager to spend as much time together as they can.

In Friends Will Be Friends, the pair will go on a friendship double date with a well-known personality and their best friend. Each week, they will share friendship highs and lows, swapping happy memories and funny stories with guests including Sophie Ellis-Bextor, and more to be announced.

Cat Deeley & Edith Bowman said: “We are so excited about our new project Friends Will Be Friends. It’s something we came up with that allows us to celebrate our own friendship while exploring the beautiful and unique relationships a friendship can be to us all. Michelle Visage’s Rule Breakers gets up close and personal with the divas, the rebels and the outcasts who have carved their own route to success. Each episode is a one-to-one encounter with some of the most elite and inspiring rule breakers, including Cameron Diaz, Marc Jacobs, Alan Carr, Dawn French, Billy Porter, Kelly Osbourne, Dita Von Teese, Tan France and Jessie J, with more to be announced soon.

Each guest will share their own rebel wisdom as Michelle goes deep to find out what rules they’ve broken to change their world. Listeners will hear from those who have had the courage to walk the path less trodden and triumphed, and along the way inspire us to do things differently.

This intimate, bold and taboo-busting series follows the menstrual cycle from bleeding to, well, bleeding again – with all the science, drama, history, personal stories and politics in-between. It will show how understanding your hormones and your cycle can change your life, one day at a time.
