Podcast creators and brands named among 2025 Anthem Awards finalists

The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences has announced the finalists for the 5th annual Anthem Awards.

The awards celebrate social impact work across digital media, branded content, and podcasts. Presented by the Webby Awards, the Anthems recognise purpose-driven creators and organisations making meaningful global change since launching in 2021.

Podcasting features strongly in this year’s list, with entries from major media companies, production houses, and advocacy organisations using audio storytelling to inspire action and raise awareness.

Spotify, Paramount Pictures, MTV Entertainment Studios, and The Daily Show are among the finalists recognised for their mission-led work, alongside nonprofits such as UNICEF USA and World Central Kitchen.

“The 2025 finalists represent hope, compassion, and inclusivity,” said Patricia McLoughlin, General Manager of the Anthem Awards. “In our fifth year, we are celebrating the true changemakers that are pushing humanity forward, especially amid current challenges.”

Supporters can cast votes online at celebrate.anthemawards.com until 30 October. Winners of the Anthem Community Voice Awards will be determined by public vote, while Gold, Silver, and Bronze Anthem Awards will be selected by judges from the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences.

The judging panel includes industry figures from podcasting, media, and social impact sectors, such as leaders from TikTok, Paramount, the NAACP, Planned Parenthood, and the Gates Foundation.

More than 2,000 entries from 42 countries were reviewed this year, underscoring the scale of purpose-driven creative work across the digital landscape.

Winners of the 5th annual Anthem Awards will be revealed on 18 November, with “Call to Action” speeches available to stream the same day at anthemawards.com.
