Podcast nominees among those confirmed for 2026 BPG Awards

Podcast of the Year contenders have been revealed as part of the 2026 Broadcasting Press Guild Awards shortlist.

The annual awards return for their 52nd year on Wednesday, 18 March at The Barbican in London, recognising work commissioned or produced in the UK and screened in 2025.

Organisers have confirmed that the Podcast of the Year category will feature Dish, hosted by Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett, Ill-Advised by Bill Nighy, The Mishal Husain Show, Audibleโ€™s Pride and Prejudice and The History Podcast by BBC Sounds.

The awards are voted for by media journalists and cover television, streaming and audio.

In the Audio Presenter of the Year category, Sara Cox has been nominated following her Radio 2 marathon challenge in 2025.

She is shortlisted alongside fellow Radio 2 presenter Trevor Nelson, Heart Breakfast host Jamie Theakston, and Radio 4 presenters Anna Foster and Sue Mitchell.
