Public media organisation PRX and AudioUK have announced a new Podcast Creator Summit for Friday, 6 February at Battersea Power Station in London.
The one-day free event will be in partnership with Apple Podcasts and aimed at creators of all experience levels from across the UK.
It will feature a programme of in person seminars, talks and workshops led by acclaimed creators and industry experts, focusing on both the creative and commercial sides of podcasting, with organisers positioning it as a practical and community driven learning experience.
Podcasters can now register their interest to receive updates and instructions for a chance to attend. The full speaking line up is set to be announced in early January, as anticipation builds around who will be taking part when the summit arrives in the capital.
“After two successful years in the US, meeting independent creators and supporting local podcast and audio communities, we are thrilled at the opportunity to expand overseas to a podcast market as significant as the UK,” said Stephanie Kuo, VP of Content at PRX. “We hope podcasters of all backgrounds and experience levels will join us, especially producers and independent creators early in their journeys.”

The London summit builds on PRX’s growing international activity, following several Podcast Creator Summits hosted across the United States this year, including events in Austin, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia, delivered in partnership with local public media stations KUT and WABE.
Those US events featured speakers and presenters from across the podcast and audio industry, including creative leaders from iHeartPodcasts, Tenderfoot TV, Audacy, The Roost, City Cast and Exactly Right Media.
