Frequency has appointed Russell Weissman as strategic consultant to lead operations for its Premium Publisher Network.
The PPN is designed to help podcast publishers monetise curated inventory at scale, connecting creators with major advertisers.
Weissman, who has over ten years’ experience in the podcast and creator industry, was most recently Head of Audience Strategy and Marketing at All Things Comedy. During his time there, he worked on talent partnerships, content strategy, and branded content campaigns.
At Frequency, he will focus on growing PPN by supporting sales partnerships, finding new publishers, strengthening ties with current media partners, and working with internal teams in sales, operations, and product development.
CEO of Frequency Pete Jimison said: “Russell brings a rare blend of operational insight, publisher experience, and deep industry relationships. He’s exactly the kind of leader we need to scale PPN.”
PPN is gaining popularity as a solution for publisher monetisation, offering access to major brand campaigns through Frequency’s collaboration with DAX US.
Commenting on his new role, Weissman said: “PPN is the connective tissue this industry has needed—and I’m excited to help Frequency lay the foundation that will shape the next phase of publisher monetisation.”
