Peace strategist, author and social entrepreneur, Sanam Naraghi Anderlini has returned with season two of her podcast, If You Were in Charge.
The podcast reframes global challenges as global solutions in these extraordinary times of turbulence.
What would the world look like if those living through and working on today’s toughest crises were given the power and resources to lead real change? That’s the driving question behind the podcast hosted by renowned peacebuilder and ICAN founder Sanam Naraghi Anderlini.
Diving headfirst into the world’s most urgent challenges, from the funding crisis for the charity and voluntary sector in the second Trump term to reviving peace in Syria, salvaging multilateral institutions like the UN.
Each episode features frontline doers and imaginers – activists, organisers, peacebuilders – whose lived experience, courage, and ideas are reshaping what’s possible. Sanam explores what they’re already achieving, what they could do with greater power and support, and what gives them hope.
“We so often hear from the powerful about what should be done,” says Naraghi Anderlini. “But in this series, we flip the script. We hear from the people whose wisdom and work are too often ignored people who, if they were in charge, could change the world.”
Guests lined up for the new season include:
- Ece Temelkuran from Turkey – journalist and best-selling author of How to Lose a Country: The 7 Steps from Democracy to Fascism
