Sounds Profitable, the trade association for the podcasting industry has appointed Molly DeMellier to a new position as Head of Communications.
The move follows its recent merger with Podcast Movement, reflecting the organisationโs commitment to strengthening industry-wide education, insights, and advocacy.
In the newly created role, DeMellier will lead all global communications activity, including media relations, marketing, external storytelling, and internal communications.
She will also support PR and marketing efforts for Sounds Profitable partners and oversee the organisationโs presence at major international events, including SXSW, Cannes Lions, and Podcast Movement, which remains its flagship industry conference.
Bryan Barletta, Partner at Sounds Profitable and President of Podcast Movement, said the appointment reflects how central communications has become to the groupโs next phase of growth following the merger.

DeMellier joins Sounds Profitable with more than ten yearsโ experience across entertainment, media, and technology, having previously led marketing and PR in the US for Acast and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Sundaze PR.
