The Spotify Partner Program is expanding into France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Ireland, New Zealand, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
First launched in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, the programme grew payouts to creators by over 300% this January compared to January 2024.
Eligible audio and video creators in the nine new markets will be able to enrol from 29 April, while SPP creators in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia will have more opportunities to earn Premium video revenue in the new markets.
The Spotify Partner Program offers audience-driven payouts from Spotify Premium video engagement and the ability to monetise via ads in Spotify Free and on all other podcast listening platforms.
The flexibility of multiple revenue streams gives creators greater control over their businesses, helping them adapt to seasonal shifts while driving incremental revenue.
Spotify says it is removing dynamic ad slots in Premium but replacing it with a model that it thinks is better for creators, users, and advertisers long-term.
Listeners will now have access to a bigger and better catalogue of video podcasts, seamless background and foreground toggling, and for Premium users, the ability to watch videos uninterrupted by dynamic ads.
