Stacey Dooley and Ben Zand are teaming up for Untangled, a new weekly current affairs podcast from Channel 4 and ZANDLAND.
The show is being produced by ZANDLAND, the documentary studio founded by Ben Zand and based in Liverpool and London. It will attempt to make sense of the biggest headlines on social media, offering clarity and compassion instead of noise and spin.
Each episode will break down major breaking stories and overlooked issues, helping audiences understand not just what’s happening, but why it matters.
Dooley and Zand, both award-winning journalists, bring a wealth of experience in storytelling and investigative reporting.
Stacey Dooley said: “There’s so much happening in the world, it can feel hard to know what really matters or who to trust. With Untangled, we’re hoping to make sense of it all to have open, honest conversations about the stories everyone’s talking about, without it feeling overwhelming or heavy.”
Ben Zand added: “We wanted to help people get to grips with the biggest stories without feeling overwhelmed. Untangled is about slowing things down and having reasonable, honest conversations in a world that feels increasingly polarised.”
Louisa Compton, Channel 4’s Head of News and Current Affairs, said: “Young audiences are drowning in disinformation and toxic views.
“Stacey and Ben will provide reliable, fact-checked reporting to help make sense of the world. We’re thrilled to bring Stacey to Channel 4 and think this duo will prove an audience favourite.”
