Star Trek fans are set for a treat this year as one of the franchise’s most famous villains takes centre stage in a brand-new scripted podcast series.
STAR TREK: KHAN will launch its first episode on 8 September, timed to celebrate Star Trek Day, with new episodes released every Monday until 3 November.
The series explores the untold events on Ceti Alpha V, revealing how Khan Noonien Singh’s life spiralled from a superhuman leader with a vision to the ruthless antagonist seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
This deep dive into one of Star Trek’s most complex characters promises to give fans a new perspective on his motivations and descent into revenge.
Naveen Andrews, known for his role in Lost, voices Khan, supported by an impressive cast. Wrenn Schmidt (For All Mankind) plays Lieutenant Marla McGivers, Sonya Cassidy (Reacher) portrays Dr Rosalind Lear, and Star Trek veteran Tim Russ reprises his role as Ensign Tuvok. The legendary George Takei returns to the Star Trek universe as Captain Sulu.
The supporting voice cast includes Olli Haaskivi (Oppenheimer) as Delmonda, Maury Sterling (Homeland) as Ivan, Mercy Malick (Mr Mayor) as Ursula, and Zuri Washington (Life with Althaar) as Madot.
The podcast is based on a story by Nicholas Meyer, the writer and director of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

Executive producers include Alex Kurtzman, Aaron Baiers, Kirsten Beyer, Molly Barton, Carly Migliori, Fred Greenhalgh, Trevor Roth, and Rod Roddenberry.
