STV Radio launches first podcast The STV Radio Football Show

As STV Radio gears up to go on-air across Scotland, the station has announced its first-ever podcast, The STV Radio Football Show.

The new weekly visual podcast will see broadcaster Ewen Cameron and STV Sport journalist Ronnie Charters team up to dissect the highs, lows and talking points from Scottish football every Monday.

Ewen, one half of STV Radio’s upcoming breakfast show duo, is known for his outspoken takes on the game, while Ronnie brings years of insight from the sports newsroom.

Producer Callum Bell will be on hand to keep the chaos in check. Together, they’ll review match highlights, referee controversies and fan reactions, while looking ahead to major games across Scotland and beyond.

Ewen Cameron said: “Every Monday, millions of football fans wonder what I thought of that shocking tackle at the weekend – well, now they can find out! I’m buzzing to join Ronnie for some no-holds-barred commentary on the game we all love.”

Ronnie Charters added: “Scottish football is the gift that keeps on giving. The STV Radio Football Show will bring laughs, debate and maybe a few arguments. Listeners can even message in to tell Ewen how bad his opinions are – in fact, it’s encouraged!”

The podcast is sponsored by CR Smith, a Scottish home improvement manufacturer and installer. Gareth McCluskey, Marketing Director at CR Smith, said: “We’re delighted to join the winning team that is Ewen and Ronnie.”

The STV Radio Football Show launches 27 October and will be available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube and STV Player, with highlights shared across STV Radio’s social channels.
